Monopoly sprays giant Lugner portrait on shopping center

That would have been just what Richard Lugner would like: On Wednesday afternoon, this year's guest at the Lugner City Opera Ball, the street artist and DJ Alec Monopoly, will spray a graffiti portrait of the architect, who died in the summer, several meters high, onto an outside wall of the shopping center. The finished work will then be presented to the public at 3 p.m., it was announced.

"We are delighted to be able to offer all visitors a unique spectacle. This painting is a tribute to my father," Jacqueline Lugner told APA.

But that is not the American's only appearance: At 6 p.m. Monopoly will be showing off his street art to the audience on the main square of Lugner City - while accompanying himself musically as a DJ. After that, there will be a VIP event that is not open to the media.

Alec Monopoly is the pseudonym of an anonymous street and graffiti artist from the USA. He became known for his works that use the famous Monopoly man from the board game as a motif.
