After less than two years, Carina Kozole is leaving N26 – her successor is Jochen Klöpper.

Personnel changes at N26: Jochen Klöpper will become Head of Risk at the neo-bank at the end of the year. He succeeds Carina Kozole, who is leaving the company on July 31. Klöpper previously served as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at the Spanish universal bank Santander Consumer Bank.
Carina Kozole, who joined N26 from Hypovereinsbank in 2023, is leaving the company after less than two years.
Her successor, Jochen Klöpper, brings with him experience in consumer banking and risk management. He will be responsible for risk management and compliance at N26 starting December 1.
At the same time, BaFin is taking a closer look at the fintech's risk management. The focus is also on the Dutch mortgage lender Neo – a subsidiary of N26. The regulator is examining how N26, as the parent company, manages the subsidiary's risks. We reported on this.
Jochen Klöpper will now use his many years of experience in consumer banking to improve risk management at N26.
