ProSiebenSat.1: Shares rally after increased offer from Berlusconi holding MFE

Pier Silvio Berlusconi is the son of the late former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi , who was said to have close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin (72). The German government has repeatedly accused the government in Moscow of deliberately spreading disinformation in Europe.
MFE already holds 30.63 percent of ProSiebenSat.1. The Italian company is now offering the remaining shareholders a constant cash component of €4.48 per share plus 1.3 of the rarely traded MFE A shares. Previously, the equity component was 0.4 shares. At Friday's closing price, the offer is worth just under €8.15. This represents a premium of 16 percent over Friday's Xetra closing price. The acceptance period for the offer runs until August 13.
