Tesla: Fire in delivery center causes major damage

A police spokesperson said investigations are underway in all directions. Tesla has not yet responded to a request for comment on the incident. Several Tesla employees used tarpaulins to cover the fence at the factory premises at midday. Several damaged vehicles were parked behind it.

Arson attacks and paint attacks

In the past, Tesla has repeatedly been the target of arson attacks and paint attacks. Most recently, activists vandalized the automaker's Freiburg branch. And in Leipzig, as yet unknown perpetrators attempted to set fire to two Tesla cars on Monday. The perpetrators threw a spray can of pyrotechnics at a shelter under which the cars were parked, police reported. This resulted in an explosion.
