ASC & MSC Awards Germany 2025: First-ever award for outstanding commitment to sustainable fishing and responsible aquaculture

Büsum (ots) - A premiere in Büsum: Yesterday, the two non-profit organizations Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) and Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) honored for the first time individuals and companies along the supply chain who, through their commitment to the ASC and MSC programs, have demonstrated a particularly strong commitment to sustainable fishing and responsible aquaculture. "With these awards, we not only want to raise awareness of standards, but also recognize the people and companies who are making a significant impact through innovation and commitment. The award winners impressively demonstrate that responsible fishing and aquaculture are already a reality today. By setting an example, they are shaping the future of the industry," explains Dennis Wittmann, General Manager DACH at the ASC. Kathrin Runge, Program Director DACH at the MSC, adds: "The awards are far more than just an accolade within the industry. Properly communicated, they also make outstanding commitment visible to the public. They send a strong signal to the outside world that provides guidance to companies and consumers and encourages them to choose sustainable fish – a decisive impetus for further development." Making Commitment Visible: The award winners were selected based on a clear process. The assessments included the proportion of MSC- or ASC-certified products in the product range, the public commitment to sustainable sourcing of the fish product group through both programs, and the quality and intensity of internal and external communication. Activities in the 2024/2025 period served to ensure consistent comparability. "Many companies have impressively documented how seriously they pursue sustainability in fisheries and aquaculture. This demonstrates how deeply rooted responsible action has become in the industry. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for this," said Runge. The best in the industry were honored in these categories in 2025:

Solar industry on the brink of a mega comeback?
For a long time, solar stocks were considered darlings of the stock market, but then came a sharp crash: interest rate shocks, overcapacities in China, and a price collapse that put even market leaders like SMA Solar, Enphase Energy, and SolarEdge under massive pressure. Many investors have long since turned their backs on the industry. But this could be precisely the opportunity now!
The combination of AI explosion and energy transition brings the industry back into the spotlight:
- Data centers consume megawatts – solar power offers the cheapest price per kilowatt hour
- Modern modules deliver efficiencies like nuclear power plants
- hina curbs price dumping & massively pushes expansion
This offer is only valid for a short time – so don’t hesitate, secure it now!
