For capital investment: Insurance Chamber enters into Fintech partnership

Germany's largest public insurer has entered into a new technology partnership. The insurance association will rely on Clearwater Analytics' investment management platform for its middle and back office functions, as well as risk management.
The decision is based on a strategic review process that the group initiated in 2024. The company then searched for a suitable partner in a structured selection process. "The partnership with Clearwater is an important milestone in the transformation of our investment processes," explains Martin Knobbe, Head of Middle and Back Office Investment at Versicherungskammer.
Insurers are digitizing investment processes"German insurers are increasingly turning to modern, cloud-based solutions to meet increasing complexity and performance requirements," observes Josef Sommeregger, Head of Insurance EMEA at Clearwater Analytics. The goal: better data quality, optimized decision support, and a more efficient operating model. This will allow the German Insurance Association to focus more on its core competencies in capital investments.
The insurer will become part of a platform with over 700 insurance clients worldwide. Clearwater Analytics manages over $8.8 trillion in assets globally for clients such as insurers, asset managers, hedge funds, and banks. The partnership is intended to provide the insurance chamber with greater flexibility and speed in its business processes while simultaneously creating economic benefits.
