SPD introduces ministers: Bärbel Bas takes over Ministry of Labor, Lars Klingbeil becomes Finance Minister, Boris Pistorius remains Defense Minister

Natalie Pawlik (32) will become the Federal Government Commissioner for Migration, Refugees and Integration. Pawlik, born in Russia, previously held the position of Commissioner for Ethnic German Repatriates and National Minorities. She herself came to Germany in 1999 as a Russian-German ethnic German repatriate.

The previous co-SPD leader Saskia Esken (63) is not represented in the new government – ​​nor are the previous Minister of Labor Hubertus Heil (52), Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (54), Health Minister Karl Lauterbach (62), Development Minister Svenja Schulze (56) and Construction Minister Klara Geywitz (49).
