Trump and Musk alliance collapses over budget dispute

Musk donated more than $250 million to Trump's election campaign. He also personally campaigned for him in the crucial state of Pennsylvania, among others. Trump now claimed he would have won Pennsylvania even without Musk—and thus appears to have provoked the tech billionaire's attack.

Musk's attacks lasting for days

Musk has been lashing out against the tax and spending bill pushed by Trump for days, calling for more cost cuts. Meanwhile, Trump suggested that Musk is motivated by business interests. The tech billionaire is, among other things, the head of the electric car manufacturer Tesla. Trump said Musk had no problem with the bill – until he learned that it included cutting billions in subsidies for electric vehicles.
