'Unintentionally'? Florinda Meza will premiere a documentary about her life after the 'Chespirito' series.

The controversy surrounding the premiere of the series 'Chespirito: Sin querer queriendo' is growing, and not just because of what appears in its weekly episodes, but because it was revealed that Florinda Meza, widow of Roberto Gómez Bolaños , will soon premiere a documentary about his life.

On social media, they claim it's to "counterattack" what's being said about her in the biographical series "Chespirito," beloved by millions of people in Mexico and Latin America, but according to the director of this material, that's not her intention.

Although actress Florinda Meza didn't mention anything about her documentary after the premiere of the MAX production, its director shared some details with various journalists and media outlets.

The documentary about the life of Florinda Meza is called Dare to Live , and in it the actress who gave life to 'Doña Florinda' in the series El Chavo del 8 recounts some complicated episodes of her life, which began in childhood.

Contrary to what many claim, the idea of ​​making this documentary to share his life story came from long before the announcement of the 'Chespirito' series , where his son Roberto Gómez Fernández is one of the executive producers.

"This project is completely the opposite ; it's motivational, it's meant to inspire people through her story, straight from Florinda, whose origins no one knew," explains the creative director of Atrévete a vivir , nicknamed 'Javi Domz,' in an interview with Siéntese quien puede .

In another conversation, now with Javier Ceriani, Domz shared that, although Florinda Meza initially disagreed with the Roberto Gómez Bolaños series and the comedian's widow considered that he is portrayed in a negative light, this production is not a "counterattack" and she does not intend to sue anyone.

"I knew beforehand that he didn't agree. He'll never take legal action against anyone because he respects Roberto, he'll let it go. There's always a villain in the story; if you knew it, you'd realize how incredible it is," he says.

Dare to Live is a project that explores various facets in the life of Florinda Meza , who had problems with María Antonieta de las Nieves 'La Chilindrina' many years ago, from her complicated childhood to the relationship she had with the comedian who gave life to the character of 'El Chapulín Colorado' .

"How she was a father and mother to her family, who tied her hand because she was left-handed or even called her a prostitute; the people in her town, very powerful things. They'll understand that Florinda is also a victim in this story," Javi Domz shares.

Unlike the series, this material includes previously unpublished photos and videos of the actress and key figures in her life story, such as Roberto Gómez Bolaños "Chespirito ." Javi Domz even claims that Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a "semi-protagonist" role, as this resource is used to recreate scenes and moments.

“We're making magic; we'll see her like never before. There's so much going on behind her childhood, where she was abused and humiliated by her family. There are so many powerful things coming up that she's never really brought to light, not to mention her life after Roberto, what it's been like,” Domz adds in her conversation with Ceriani.

Precisely, one of the main differences between the biographical documentary about Florinda Meza and the "Chespirito" series on MAX is that the latter is based on evidence, something the production that premiered a few weeks ago lacks.

"When you watch the series (about 'Chespirito') and then see the documentary, there are things that don't add up. Ultimately, the bioseries is dramatized, and the documentary is about just that. Documented with photos, video testimonies, you'll understand that Florinda was a victim of abuse throughout her life," Domz explains in another interview, this time with Gustavo Adolfo Infante.

Although this material has been in the works for years, it's not yet ready for release, as it needs some fine-tuning, in addition to interviews and testimonies from people close to Meza.

Production is in its final stages, and although there's still no official release date or streaming platform, Javi Domz hopes the documentary will be released between July and August of this year.
