A criminal group has been dismantled for 18 robberies in industrial estates in nine provinces.

The Civil Guard has dismantled a criminal group, resulting in the arrest and investigation of a total of nine people for 18 burglaries in industrial estates in the provinces of Huesca, Zaragoza, Teruel, Toledo, Cáceres, Badajoz, Albacete, Cuenca, and Valencia.

In a press release, the Cuenca Civil Guard Command reported that the detainees and those under investigation, aged between 20 and 44 , have been charged with alleged property crimes, including theft with force , membership in a criminal organization, and violations of road safety.

The investigations began in early 2025 , when the Civil Guard of the Cáceres, Cuenca and Huesca Commands learned of several burglaries committed in different warehouses in industrial estates in all these provinces.

A "very characteristic" modus operandi

As a result of analyzing all the data obtained by Civil Guard agents, they were able to detect coincidences in the robberies committed in the provinces of Huesca, Zaragoza, Teruel, Toledo, Cáceres, Badajoz, Albacete, Cuenca, and Valencia, where the perpetrators employ a very characteristic modus operandi, using very similar vans for all the robberies.

Due to the high geographical mobility of the individuals under investigation, a joint investigation is being coordinated between the Civil Guard of Cáceres, Cuenca, and Huesca.

Once the three investigative units were able to gather the relevant evidence , a total of 18 incidents were clarified and clues were obtained regarding the suspects' involvement in the crimes under investigation.

Thus, within the framework of these investigations, joint operations in Madrid were carried out in June and this criminal group was dismantled .

In total, nine people have been arrested and investigated as alleged perpetrators of 18 counts of burglary, one count of belonging to a criminal organization , and one crime against road safety.
