Alert! X collapses, leaving thousands without service

The social network X (formerly known as Twitter) experienced failures on the morning of Wednesday, July 2, 2025, affecting the experience of millions of users who have reported multiple problems in the application.

According to the specialized site Downdetector, the service began to register an unusual increase in reports from the early hours of the day, particularly related to the loading of content (54%) , difficulties logging in (31%) and general failures in the application (15%) .

Reports indicate that users are unable to search within the platform, tweets are not loading, and the main feed is not updating , preventing normal browsing on the social network.

Although X has not issued an official statement so far, the crash has generated confusion and annoyance among Internet users, who have gone to other platforms such as Instagram and Threads to report what happened.

The Downdetector graph shows a dramatic increase in reports shortly after 7:00 a.m. (Central Mexico Time), well above the usual average. This is one of the most significant drops recorded in recent weeks.

The company is expected to provide an official explanation in the coming hours regarding the cause of this outage and the estimated timeframe for resolution.
