Iran slams the IAEA after it claims it has no evidence of Iranian nuclear weapons development.

Iran on Thursday accused the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of acting as a "partner" in Israel's "war of aggression."

"You have betrayed the non-proliferation regime, you have made the IAEA a partner in this unjust war of aggression," Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei wrote on the X network, in a comment directed at the head of the agency, Argentine Rafael Grossi.
Speaking to France24 on Wednesday, Grossi said that while "Iran is the only country in the world currently enriching uranium to a level close to military level (...) we cannot say that there is a direct effort to make an atomic bomb ."
Before this new conflict between Israel and Iran broke out, the IAEA reported that the Iranian regime had accumulated some 400 kilos of 60% enriched uranium , very close to the 90% required for military use.

With this, the Islamic Republic now has enough nuclear material to manufacture between six and eight nuclear weapons, Grossi said. On Wednesday, the IAEA director clarified that this "does not mean they have a nuclear weapon today."
"If they want to do it, it's just one more step," warned the Argentine official, who added that "they already have it" in terms of the technical capacity to reach that critical level of enrichment.
For this report, the IAEA censured Iran on the eve of Israel's launch of its military campaign on June 13.
"A report that was misused by European countries and the United States (E3/US) to draft a resolution with unfounded demands for 'non-compliance,'" said the Iranian foreign ministry spokesman.

"Do you know how many innocent Iranians have died or been injured as a result of this criminal war?" he asked, accusing Grossi of betraying the nonproliferation regime and placing the IAEA at the service of countries outside the NPT.
Israel has targeted Iran's main uranium enrichment plant, Natanz ; the second largest plant near the Fordo area, located 100 kilometers south of the capital; and the Isfahan nuclear facility, about 350 kilometers southeast of Tehran.
It has also targeted weapons production centers, nuclear centrifuge development plants, and other research infrastructure, according to a military statement.
The IAEA confirmed on Monday that both radioactive and chemical contamination was detected at the Natanz plant within normal limits, indicating no external radiological impact on the population or the environment.

Following an Israeli attack on Iran's Khondab heavy-water reactor, also known as the Arak reactor, on Thursday, the nuclear watchdog says it has information that it was hit, but "did not contain nuclear material" and there are "no radiological effects."
The IAEA maintains its presence in Iran through its inspectors , who continue to assess the situation and collaborate with Iranian authorities. According to EFE , the international agency has reiterated the importance of ensuring the security of nuclear facilities and avoiding any action that could jeopardize the integrity of radioactive materials and the protection of the population.
Iran bombs a hospital in Israel In Israel, Iranian fire has caused 24 deaths, according to the government.
On Thursday, Iran bombed Soroka Hospital in Beersheba, in the south. It caused an explosion that ignited a fire and caused severe damage. Forty people were injured.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry reported a "direct impact" on this medical center, which primarily treats Israeli soldiers wounded in the war in Gaza.

"The cowardly Iranian dictator (...) deliberately fired at hospitals and residential buildings in Israel. This is one of the most serious war crimes, and Khamenei will have to pay for his crimes," the same minister, Israel Katz, had previously stated.
Together with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, we have ordered the intensification of attacks against strategic targets in Iran and against Tehran's energy infrastructure, to eliminate threats to the State of Israel and undermine the ayatollahs' regime," he added.
