Maradona case: this Wednesday there will be a new hearing in which the date of the jury trial will be set

Nurse Dahiana Gisela Madrid , one of those accused of the death of Diego Maradona in November 2020, will appear this Wednesday at a new hearing set by Judge María Coello , head of the Oral Criminal Court number 7 of San Isidro. The nurse, charged with "homicide with eventual intent" , must go this morning at 10 a.m. to the courts of the Buenos Aires town where the case is being processed.

The date for the jury trial will be set at this hearing, which will begin in the middle of this year, after the ordinary trial in which Leopoldo Luque , the former footballer's personal doctor, and Agustina Cosachov , the psychiatrist, are the defendants. Both professionals are also involved in the process, which began after Maradona's death in a country club in the town of Tigre.

Also on trial are psychologist Carlos Díaz , nurse Ricardo Almirón , his boss Mariano Perroni , clinical doctor Pedro Pablo Di Spagn a and the medical coordinator of a health insurance company, Nancy Edith Forlini .

Who will testify in the case?

Diego's daughters, Dalma and Giannina Maradona ; his ex-partners Verónica Ojeda and Rocío Oliva ; the lawyer Matías Morla ; the head of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), Claudio "Chiqui" Tapia ; Diego's sisters, Ana Estela and Rita Mabel Maradona ; the former president of Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata, Gabriel Pellegrino ; the lawyer Mario Baudry and the journalists Nelson Castro and Marcela Tauro will appear before Judge Coello.
