Milei begins a tour that will take her to Italy, France, Spain and Israel

Argentine President Javier Milei begins a tour today that will include official visits to Italy, France, and Israel, with meetings with leaders such as Giorgia Meloni, Emmanuel Macron, and Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as an audience with Pope Leo XIV. On Sunday, he will be in Spain for a private visit to participate in the Madrid Economic Forum.
The president departed Buenos Aires yesterday for Rome, where he will participate in the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Argentine state-controlled oil company YPF and Italy's ENI, and will have a private lunch with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
The president will be accompanied on the first leg of the trip by presidential spokesman Manuel Adorni and Minister of Human Capital Sandra Pettovello . Both will participate in the visit to the Vatican on Saturday, where Milei will have an audience with Pope Leo XIV.
Argentine Foreign Minister Gerardo Werthein will also join the delegation. Karina , the Secretary General of the Presidency and Milei's sister, will accompany him throughout the 10-day trip, according to local media.
The meeting between Leo XIV and Milei will be the first between the two leaders since the pontiff's inauguration in early May. That same Saturday, the president will travel to Madrid to continue his European agenda.
In the Spanish capital, the far-right leader will participate in the closing ceremony of the Madrid Economic Forum on Sunday the 8th . He will then travel to the French city of Nice, where he will hold a bilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday the 9th.
On Monday afternoon, Milei will depart for Tel Aviv to begin a three-day official visit to Israel, a country with which she has strengthened ties since taking office in December 2023.
On Tuesday the 10th, he will be received by Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu , with whom he will offer joint statements.
During his stay in Jerusalem, Milei will visit holy sites such as the Western Wall and the Holy Sepulchre and meet with relatives of hostages kidnapped by the Islamist group Hamas during its attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.
On Wednesday the 11th, the president will deliver a speech before the Knesset (Israeli Parliament), a rare occurrence during visits by heads of state to Israel.
There, he will be presented with the Genesis Prize, also known as the Jewish Nobel Prize, which he received earlier this year for his support of Israel.
The following day, he will deliver a lecture at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, sign a memorandum of understanding with Netanyahu, and announce the launch of a direct flight between Buenos Aires and Tel Aviv operated by Israeli state-owned airline El Al.
That same Thursday, Milei will return to Madrid, where on Friday the 13th she will receive the "School of Salamanca" award.
The tour will conclude on Saturday the 14th with a breakfast with business leaders at the Argentine Embassy in Spain and the return to Buenos Aires.
