Miraculously! Boy survives after being pierced in the head by an arrow.

A nine-year-old boy managed to survive a shocking accident that left him with an arrow stuck in his head . According to local reports, the boy removed the arrow on his own and walked home to seek help.
How did the accident happen? The incident occurred in Alexandria, Minnesota , while young Gus Deterding was helping his father prepare the family truck for a hunting trip. During the process, the boy, who was carrying a bow and arrow designed for his age, slipped on an icy area in front of his house and accidentally fell on the arrow , causing the surprising injury.
Despite the seriousness of the incident, Gus removed the arrow himself and walked home, showing them the injury, which appeared to be minor, near his nose. His parents rushed him to a nearby hospital . Due to the complexity of his condition, he was later airlifted to Children's Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis , where he was treated by specialists.
The medical diagnosisDr. Ken Maslonka , who heads the pediatric intensive care unit at the hospital, said the arrow pierced brain regions involved in motor and sensory function .
He also noted that the object stopped "less than two centimeters from completely piercing the skull and very close to the carotid artery," the rupture of which could have resulted in death within minutes.
Gus's recoveryGus resumed his normal activities three months after the accident. As his family told KARE11 , he's back playing baseball with his teammates and enjoying hockey at home with his brothers. Doctors indicated that he has no visible after-effects and has made a full recovery in terms of functionality.
“We are grateful for this miracle and for all the support we have received,” the family said.
