The drag queen artist known as “ Ramoona ” went viral on social media after making public a complaint of discrimination , which, according to her testimony, occurred in a hotel in Toluca, State of Mexico .

Through a video published on his TikTok account, he recounted that the incident took place in the early hours of Sunday, July 13 , at the facilities of “La Muralla Hotel & Villas” , while he was in the lobby waiting for transportation to attend a presentation in the city.

While she was in the hotel's common area, a staff member approached her and asked her to leave. According to Ramooona, the employee argued that, due to "company policy," she couldn't stay there because it was a "family" hotel and "there were children there and they could see her."

Faced with this situation, the artist began recording the conversation with her cell phone. In the shared video, you can hear the receptionist's tone suddenly change when she realized she was being filmed.

Ramooona later shared a second recording in which she claimed that her Instagram account was reported by the hotel worker, whom she identified as Teresa “N” , which led to the temporary suspension of her profile for three days .

In response to the incident, he reported that he filed a formal complaint with the National Council to Prevent Discrimination (CONAPRED) and that he is also in the process of initiating an additional procedure with the municipal authorities of Toluca .

After the case went viral, the hotel involved, La Muralla Hotel & Villas , released an official statement on its social media. In it, it categorically denied any discriminatory actions and reaffirmed its position:

“Commitment to respect, diversity, and dignified treatment of all people, without exception.”

The hotel also clarified that it has not denied service to any guests , and that its policies are designed to ensure a peaceful and respectful stay for its visitors.
