Road closures announced for this Sunday due to the Saltillo La Moderna Marathon 2025

The Saltillo Municipal Government announced that this Sunday, November 9, starting at 5:00 a.m., several roads will be temporarily closed due to the Saltillo La Moderna 2025 Marathon, and urged citizens to take precautions and plan their trips in advance.

The Police Department for Security and Citizen Protection, through its Traffic division, detailed that a special traffic and security operation will be implemented to guarantee the orderly development of the competition and the protection of both the runners and the spectators.

Zulema Banda Alemán, deputy director of Municipal Transit, called on the public to drive with caution and seek alternate routes during the morning of the event.

“We urge drivers to drive with caution and leave with plenty of time to reach their destinations. Our goal is to maintain safety and traffic flow as much as possible,” the official stated.

The marathon will start on Paseo Villalta, on the Luis Donaldo Colosio boulevard, then head east and continue along Musa de León, José María La Fragua, Periférico Luis Echeverría, Pedro Torres Castilla, Carlos Abedrop Dávila, Pérez Treviño and Francisco de Urdiñola.

The route will continue along Felipe J. Mery, Gustavo Espinoza Mireles (Mirador), Hidalgo, Corona, Allende, Victoria, Purcell, Aldama, Cuauhtémoc, Ramos Arizpe and Emilio Carranza, until connecting with Francisco Coss, and later Nazario S. Ortiz Garza, Jesús Valdés Sánchez, Venustiano Carranza, Galerías Boulevard, Musa de León, José María Rodríguez, Rufino Tamayo, Manuel Ortiz de Montellano, Juan Pablo Rodríguez, Pedro Figueroa, Moctezuma Boulevard, Eulalio Gutiérrez and Luis Donaldo Colosio, returning to the starting point.

The street closures will begin at 5:00 a.m. and the roads will be reopened gradually as the last contingent of runners advances.

The Police Station reiterated its commitment to providing security and road support along the entire route, and invited citizens to respect the signs and instructions of traffic personnel to facilitate the development of the most important sporting event of the year in the capital of Coahuila.
