The incorrigible former minister

The incorrigible former minister

This week we learned that José Luis Ábalos had a porn actress at home who was dusting him off. The UCO found her on the day of the search ordered by the judge, and she confessed to them that she was a former artist, just as he was a former minister. The truth is, neither pornography nor politics are what they used to be. Now people are more excited by corruption than by sex, although any generalization is risky.

Ábalos asked his assistant to take the dog for a walk and grab some breakfast, and Letizia Hilton (her stage name in the porn days) tried to hide a hard drive in her pants. The officers suspected she was carrying something she shouldn't have and searched her, discovering she was trying to hide one of the 34 devices found, probably the most valuable.

Ábalos's relationship with the prostitutes is a textbook example. Koldo's recordings are painful because of the sexist, humiliating, and rude way he addresses the women (Ainara, Arantxa, Carlota, the Colombian woman...), almost more than the corrupt practices cited elsewhere. The former minister discovered Jésica, the one he met most often, through a catalog Koldo had on his cell phone. He saw something special in her that he placed her in two public companies where they didn't even look at her resume or even see her sign up. This whole mess began at the same time as the PSOE's 2019 election campaign, as if they were aware that a new era had arrived in their lives.

The government will need Ábalos' vote to abolish prostitution.

The outrage among the women of the PSOE (Spanish Socialist Workers' Party) has been such that they have successfully pushed the Council of Ministers to prepare a draft bill to abolish prostitution in Spain in September. This was announced by the Minister of Equality, Ana Redondo. Incredibly, for it to be approved in Congress, the government will need Ábalos's vote, which doesn't seem very favorable.

This story of parties with prostitutes financed by kickbacks from construction companies reminds us of the photos of former Director General of the Civil Guard, Luis Roldán, in his underwear during an orgy paid for with secret funds. This caused irreparable damage to González's PSOE. It remains to be seen whether Ábalos's lust will have the same effect.
