Three arrested for the shooting that seriously injured two young people in Pilar de la Horadada

The Civil Guard has arrested three people as alleged perpetrators of a shooting that occurred in the early hours of July 2 on a public street in the Torre de la Horadada residential area in Pilar de la Horadada (Alicante).

The incident occurred near a nightlife area near the beach and involved five young men, all between the ages of 17 and 19. Two of them were seriously injured by gunshot wounds and required emergency surgery.

The Civil Guard has conducted three searches at different homes in the municipality of Vega Baja, Alicante. A semi-automatic pistol, ammunition of various calibers, and several knives were found in one of the properties.

As soon as the events became known, the Civil Guard conducted an inspection of the scene, where they recovered six shell casings and a bullet. As a result of the investigation, in less than 24 hours they were able to identify the main suspects and the vehicle used in the shooting, which turned out to be a rental car. The officers were able to confirm these individuals' involvement and recover the firearm.

The operation has led to the investigation of five attempted homicides resulting in very serious injuries, and the charge of illegal weapons possession. In a statement, the Civil Guard expressed its gratitude for the public's cooperation, which has been crucial to the progress of the investigation.

The operation was carried out by the Pilar de la Horadada Judicial Police Team, with support from the Investigation Department of the Main Post of the Civil Guard, the municipality's Local Police, the Valencia Reserve and Security Group (GRS), and the Citizen Security Unit (USECIC) of the Alicante Command, and directed by the Orihuela Investigative Court No. 2.
