Banca March has launched a new venture capital investment fund. The bank has expanded its co-investment offering with the launch of Claret European Growth Capital Fund IV (ELTIF). The fund aims to finance European companies in rapidly growing technology sectors, primarily in Europe, and will have a capital size of €70 million.
This product has been channeled through an ELTIF, exclusive to Banca March, which will invest in parallel with Claret Capital Partners' Claret European Growth Capital Fund IV institutional vehicle . This is Banca March's second collaboration with Claret Capital Partners, following the excellent experience of the March Technology Growth fund, launched in the first four months of 2023 with the same objective of investing in growth financing for European technology companies.
The strategy of Banca March's new co-investment fund is to finance between 100 and 120 companies to continue driving their growth through senior amortizing debt instruments. The investment horizon is 36 to 48 months per company for a total estimated term of eight years.
Banca March has signed a €70 million commitment to co-invest in Claret European Growth Capital Fund IV, ELTIF. The current volume of Claret Capital Partners' institutional fund is €320 million, with a final target of reaching €500 million by December 31, 2025.
This new initiative joins Banca March's co-investment proposals, which create a unique, market-unreplicable model that allows clients to invest in the same products as the bank, building long-lasting relationships aligned with their clients' interests .
In the case of illiquid co-investment, Banca March covers a variety of illiquid asset types ( venture capital , private equity, private debt, real estate and infrastructure) selected by the entity to offer a An investment alternative in growing sectors, becoming an excellent complement to avoiding volatility and economic uncertainty. In this way, Banca March offers its clients the opportunity to invest in strategies that would otherwise only be available to large investors.
Since 2008, Grupo Banca March has committed more than €3.9 billion in illiquid assets with its clients, achieving a return on investment of two times that of real-economy projects. During this time, more than 3,900 co-investors have participated alongside the bank in various investments.
