Oracle shares rose Monday after it announced the signing of a cloud services deal that is expected to increase its annual revenue by more than $30 billion starting in fiscal 2028.

Oracle CEO Safra Catz was scheduled to meet with company colleagues to discuss the growth of multi-cloud databases, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Apple must face a Justice Department lawsuit accusing the iPhone maker of illegally dominating the U.S. smartphone market, a judge ruled Monday.

U.S. District Judge Julien Neals of Newark denied Apple's request to dismiss the lawsuit, which accuses the company of imposing restrictions on third-party app and device developers to prevent users from switching to competitors and illegally dominating the market.

The decision would allow the case to move forward in what could be a years-long fight for Apple against the attempt to lower what it calls barriers to competition with the iPhone.

Mercado Play, the streaming platform of e-commerce giant Mercado Libre, surpassed 7.7 million downloads across Latin America on smart TVs three months after launch.

Mexico currently ranks among the countries with the most Smart TVs connected to Mercado Play, with 2.1 million downloads.

At the close of trading on Monday, the stock price was $485.77.

The Gates Foundation will receive 9.4 million shares. The Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation will receive 943,384 shares, and the Sherwood, Howard G. Buffett, and NoVo Foundations will each receive 660,366 shares.
