The second half of the year is approaching, marking the beginning of the tax return season for individuals.

According to the tax calendar, during the month of June, based on the latest NIT number, taxpayers must update their withholding tax and simple tax regime obligations between June 11 and 25.

Large taxpayers must also file their declarations on the same dates.

Income tax return

The filing dates for income tax returns depend on the last two digits of your NIT (Tax Identification Number), which is assigned by the Dian (National Tax Agency) to identify taxpayers.

The deadlines established to comply with this obligation range from August 12 to October 24, 2025 (attached image).

Please note that if you file your return after the established deadline, you will have to pay a late payment penalty. This penalty is equivalent to 5% of your tax liability and increases with each month or fraction of a month that passes between the payment deadline and the date on which this obligation is filed.
