The Self-Employment Roundtable analyses the results of the Entrepreneurship Stimulation Programme in Extremadura

The Secretary General of Employment, María José Nevado, chaired the Self-Employment Roundtable that met to oversee the Program to Stimulate the Creation and Consolidation of Self-Employment in Extremadura 2024-2027, an initiative aimed at supporting and promoting self-employment in the region.
A meeting in which the progress achieved was presented, highlighting that the program has had a "positive impact" on the creation of self-employment in Extremadura, and new measures were proposed "to improve the effectiveness of the program and extend its benefits to a greater number of self-employed workers," according to the Extremadura Regional Government in a press release.
Nevado was satisfied with the results obtained and stressed the need to "continue innovating and adapting the program to the new realities of the labor market."
The meeting concluded with the participants' commitment to continue working to make the Programme to Stimulate the Creation and Consolidation of Self-Employment increasingly "more efficient and accessible".
It is worth noting that this meeting was attended by the Director General of Employment, Pedro Galán; the Director General of Training for Employment, Teresa Morales; the Director General of Business, Celina Pérez; the President of the Association of Self-Employed Workers (ATA-Extremadura), Candelaria Carrera; the President of the Organisation of Professionals and Self-Employed Workers of Extremadura (Opaex), Fernando Segador, and the President of the Intersectoral Association of Self-Employed Workers of Badajoz (CEAT-Badajoz), Javier Dorado.
