Fight between Miguel Uribe and senators of the Pact lifted the plenary session in the Senate: this was the discussion

The Senate plenary session on Wednesday was adjourned after a discussion between Miguel Uribe and the senators of the Historic Pact, Gloria Inés Flórez and Wilson Arias, went off course.
The fight started with the presence of a cameraman, supposedly invited by the congressman of the Democratic Center to the premises, who allegedly recorded the senators of the ruling party , who became upset when they noticed it.

“Members of the Historic Pact have been affected by recordings of people who are not from the UTL of the senators, who have been brought into the room only to monitor our work. Senator Miguel Uribe brought in people who he says work with him, but they are not from his UTL and they were in the room recording us. When we left the room to ask for their names, there were attacks from the senator against us,” said Senator Flórez.

“This person was recording me and at one point he panned. If he had wanted to continue recording them, it was possible and allowed because this is a public place ,” Senator Uribe responded to the accusations of the Pact congressmen.
The discussion did not end there and escalated to the point where Uribe called Flórez and Arias "hypocrites" and "mobsters," prompting a warning from the Senate Board of Directors for the use of language.
"Wilson Arias and Gloria Flórez, in the worst mafia style, went to question these young people, to insult them. And I am surprised that they come here to demand respect when they went out there, with their authority as senators, to mistreat a couple of young people. Don't be shameless and hypocrites," said Uribe.

The president of the corporation, Efraín Cepeda , decided to lift the plenary session due to the attacks that continued to develop.
Statement on social networks Following the incident, the senators spoke out through their X accounts. Uribe suggested that the congressmen of the Pact impeded the free exercise of the press.

"I will not allow the right of the press to do its job to be violated or curtailed. I will defend freedom of expression no matter what the cost. The two senators who intimidated two young people who were doing their job of communicating are cowards," he said.
For her part, Flórez warned that she could take legal action. "Insults, aggression, harassment and political violence against women and the Historic Pact are what we have received from Miguel Uribe. We will not remain silent, we will not tolerate these slanders and this political violence. I will soon make public my response and the actions we will take to stop this ," she said.
As for Arias, he asked for a sanction against Uribe. "We identified people recording us and when we complained, he violently accused us of "mafia dealings" and even of "wielding weapons." This son of a dynasty must be sanctioned," he commented.
