Juan Manuel Urtubey and the PJ formed an opposition front against Milei to compete in Salta.

As in other districts, Peronists in Salta formed a joint front to compete in the national elections in the province. Under the banner of " Fuerza Patria ," the various groups will lead an " anti-Javier Milei " front in Salta . One of the anticipated candidates is former governor Juan Manuel Urtubey , who will seek a seat in the Senate on October 26.

"The formation of Fuerza Patria in Salta is a concrete example of political maturity and historical responsibility: different sectors that think differently are uniting today because our priority is to stop the damage that Milei's government is doing to the country and the province ," Urtubey emphasized.

The Salta front will be made up of the Justicialist Party, the Victory Party, Kolina, the Frente Grande, the Labor and People's Party, the Electoral Instrument for Popular Unity, the Equal, the Represent, the Education, Culture, and Labor Party, the Happiness Party, and the Homeland without Borders. Regarding the space, Urtubey considered that "it should be an expression of a socially based project to build a front against the cruelty of Javier Milei," but at the same time " benefit the people of Salta ." "From the beginning, we have been proposing the need to guarantee unity in defense of the people of Salta," he indicated.

During a press conference, the former governor stated that they will seek to form a "competitive front to confront the exclusionary project of the libertarian government." He also emphasized: " Fuerza Patria wants to provide a channel of expression for the majority of Salta residents who want to stop the austerity measures and prevent further punishment of workers, retirees, the disabled, and cancer patients ."

In closing the presentation, Urtubey maintained that the priority is "to ensure that the front has the opportunity to represent the people of Salta and, from there, to raise an expression against the adjustment and to guarantee a future 'that is being denied to the people of Salta.'"
