The Santa Fe de Bogotá Foundation reports, at the family's request, that patient Miguel Uribe Turbay has undergone surgery and is in extremely critical condition, characterized by persistent cerebral edema and difficult-to-control intracerebral bleeding.
Therefore, the patient's condition is extremely serious. He will continue to be monitored closely, with a guarded prognosis.

Early this morning, Monday, June 16, the medical entity had stated that the politician had already undergone "a complementary surgical procedure." However, hours later, it issued another statement informing of the new situation.
He reported that at 9 a.m., the senator was transferred "for emergency neurosurgery due to clinical and imaging evidence of acute intracerebral bleeding."
"Patient Miguel Uribe Turbay required transfer to the operating room a few minutes ago for emergency neurosurgery due to clinical and imaging evidence of acute intracerebral bleeding," the statement said.

Following information from the Santa Fe Foundation, María Claudia Tarazona, the senator's wife, published a family statement on her Instagram account, reporting that the senator "experienced minor bleeding after the surgery on June 15."
The candidate's wife said that for this reason, "the doctors decided to operate on him again."
Senator's wife asked for more prayer After the presidential candidate emerged from surgery on Monday afternoon, his wife asked for more prayers in light of the new situation.
"Today, with my heart in my hand, I have to tell you that he is fighting the most difficult battle we have ever endured," Tarazona said.
