Patricia Bullrich took command of the La Libertad Avanza bloc in the Senate

Patricia Bullrich confirmed her appointment as president of the La Libertad Avanza bloc in the Senate . She thanked President Javier Milei and the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, for their confidence. The senator assured that she would "give her all" to promote the reforms that the government considers key.
Senator and Security Minister Patricia Bullrich announced on social media that she will lead the La Libertad Avanza (Freedom Advances) Senate bloc. “Many thanks to President @JMilei and the party president, @KarinaMileiOk, for trusting me to lead the LLA bloc in the Senate. Very important reforms are coming for Argentinians, and I will give my all to achieve the changes the country needs,” the official wrote.

Bullrich replaces Ezequiel Atauche, who highlighted that it was "an honor to preside over the space during these two years" and assured that he will work alongside the minister "from sunrise to sunset to reach the agreements that Argentina needs to grow again."
The decision was confirmed by Javier Milei during a meeting at the Casa Rosada with members of Congress from the La Libertad Avanza and PRO parties. “You will have to fight in Congress to make Argentina great again. In the Senate, Dr. Bullrich will be the one to coordinate this,” the president told the ruling party caucus.
Following that meeting, Bullrich held another meeting with senators from her political group, who listened to her initial directives in the Hall of Lost Steps of Congress. The government's objective is to consolidate a strong bloc in order to move forward with pending reforms.
Bullrich, known for her combative style and over a decade of experience as a congresswoman, will be tasked with organizing the bloc and defining positions in parliamentary debates. According to sources close to her, her role will be key to coordinating the ruling party's legislative strategy and ensuring support for the laws promoted by the Executive branch.
The minister also managed to bring eight PRO deputies loyal to her into the La Libertad Avanza coalition, including Laura Rodríguez Machado, Sabrina Ajmechet, and Silvana Giudici. With these moves, the ruling party seeks to broaden its parliamentary base and strengthen its presence in both houses of Congress.
Ezequiel Atauche, now the former head of the bloc, emphasized that "Patricia will be a fundamental part of the new Congress" and expressed confidence in her leadership to "face the transformations that are coming."
With this appointment, Bullrich consolidates her position as one of the most influential figures in the government. Her role leading the La Libertad Avanza faction in the Senate represents a strategic step for Javier Milei in his attempt to strengthen his political power within Congress.
