Huawei unveils the Pura 80 Series in Colombia: this is how its mobile photography strategy evolves

Huawei announced the arrival of its latest line of mobile devices, the Pura 80 Series , in the country. With this launch, the company strengthens its commitment to mobile photography and marks a new chapter in its history, which began in 2013 with the Ascend P6.
Since then, the brand has transformed the photography experience with technological advancements such as RYYB sensors, Leica cameras, and long-range zooms.
In 2024, Huawei rebranded its historic P line as the "Pura Series" and introduced the Pura 70 Series. Now, the Pura 80 Series introduces enhancements that aim to redefine the standard of image quality.

Among the Pura 80 Pro's key new features is a one-inch Ultra Illumination sensor, which improves light capture in low-light situations. It also incorporates Ultra Chroma technology, which optimizes colors and ensures visual fidelity, especially in night scenes.
The Pura 80 Ultra model, meanwhile, stands out for its Switchable Dual Telephoto system with two focal lengths (3.7x and 10x), allowing for high-quality portraits and close-ups with a deep depth of field. Both models are backed by XMAGE technology and 4K recording capabilities, making them powerful tools for creating visual content.
Additionally, the devices feature water resistance (IP68), up to 200x digital zoom, and stabilization systems that reduce vibrations by 67% compared to the previous generation. Their lens structure is designed to withstand up to 300,000 retractions.
