The JBL Charge 6 is the speaker of the summer for its exceptional sound and endless battery life.

After using the JBL Charge 6 for several days, I can say it's a complete speaker, especially thanks to its sound and battery life. I've used it outdoors, at home, connected to my phone via Bluetooth and even via cable, and it's worked very well in all cases . So, below I'll tell you about my experience with the JBL Charge 6, but first, I have to say that I was surprised .

The JBL Charge 6 has a durable design, thanks to its thick fabric cover that provides a great grip , and the sides have rubber bumpers to protect the bass. It comes in a vibrant purple color that conveys a fresh, inviting feeling. It's lightweight and easy to carry, and it comes with a detachable handle that you can use as a strap to carry it around.
It's quite comfortable to pick up and carry around, and even to hold with one hand. They claim it can withstand drops of up to 1 meter , which I can't confirm because I haven't dropped it. It's water and dust resistant (IP68 certified), which means it can get wet, fall into the sand, or even be submerged up to 1.5 meters deep for up to 30 minutes . In other words, it's a summer speaker.
Great sound, better than I expected
One of the things that caught my attention was how loud and clear it sounds. It has powerful bass , something I always value in any audio device (it feels good in electronic music or reggaeton), but the voices and instruments are also very audible . The sound doesn't distort , even if you turn up the volume quite high, which is great if you're outdoors or with other people.
With the JBL Portable app, you can equalize the bass, mids, and treble to your liking. It also has a number of ready-to-use settings like "Chill," "Energetic," and so on, but I personally didn't find them as useful as adjusting the sound myself. Still, for someone who doesn't want to get complicated, they're fine.
It comes with Bluetooth 5.4, and its connection is stable yet fast . During my days of use, my music never dropped, even when I moved quite far away from the speaker. You can also connect and listen to music via USB-C cable. The downside is that the company makes it clear that you can't connect it to older JBL models that used "PartyBoost," so if someone already has an older JBL speaker, they won't be able to pair.
Its battery lasts a long time
One of the biggest advantages is its long battery life, as the company claims it can last up to 28 hours . In my case, I used it at medium-high volume and connected it to my phone via Bluetooth, and it lasted about 23 hours, or about a day , before needing to be charged.
It has a "Playtime Boost" feature that you can activate from the app and that extends the battery life by up to 4 hours . It does, however, reduce the bass and prioritize the mid and high frequencies , so the sound is flatter. It's useful if you're without a charger and want to make it last a little longer, but I wouldn't use it if you want good sound .
Another great thing is that it charges very quickly, giving you up to 2.5 hours of music playback in just 10 minutes connected to the charger . Plus, you can also charge your phone from the speaker using the same USB-C cable, which is very useful if you're out and about and your phone runs out of battery.
JBL Charge 6 experience conclusion
It's a speaker that sounds great, has a battery life that lasts all day (or longer), and is ready to be taken anywhere, without fear of bumps, water, or dust. For nice-weather days, whether at the beach or the pool, it's a good addition. It's true that it's not the cheapest on the market, but its few negative aspects don't detract from its excellent speaker, and things like being able to charge your phone with it are a plus .
It's also true that if you rarely use these types of devices and only do so occasionally, you may want to consider more affordable models. However, if you live with the speaker, it's a very good option, especially with summer just around the corner .

- It sounds loud, clear and with good bass. Long-lasting battery. You can charge your mobile phone with it. Easy and comfortable to carry. It is light.

- Cannot be paired with older JBL models. Playtime Boost mode extends battery life, but significantly reduces sound quality. Some sound settings are not very useful.
