The president and his ministers promote development financing at the UN summit in Seville.

The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, will attend the second day of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development in Seville today. Today's session will focus on mobilizing private investment for development financing in countries of the Global South. These are some of the main activities the President and seven of his ministers will participate in on this second day.

9:00 a.m. - Sánchez meets with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres and the presidents of multilateral development banks.

10:30 a.m. - Sánchez and his Foreign Minister, José Manuel Albares, participate in the event "Investing in Global Solidarity: A New Vision for Development Cooperation."

11:00 - Second Vice President and Minister of Labor, Yolanda Díaz, appears at a press conference alongside the Director-General of the International Labor Organization (ILO), Gilbert F. Houngbo.

11:00 - Minister of Equality Ana Redondo meets with the director of the Gender Affairs Division of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).

11:30 - Díaz meets with the general secretary of the International Trade Union Confederation, Luc Triangle.

12:00 - Third Vice-President and Minister for Green Transition Sara Aagesen meets with the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Simon Stiell.

12:15 PM - The Minister for Digital Transformation, Óscar López, holds a bilateral meeting with the Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, Rebeca Grynspan.

12:30 PM - Sánchez and his Minister of Economy, Carlos Cuerpo, participate in the special Spain-South Africa event "Forging a Common Agenda to Achieve Debt Sustainability in Developing Countries."

12:30 PM - Díaz participates in the debate "From Seville to Doha: Financing Sustainable and Inclusive Social Development"

12:30 - Aagesen meets with Laurence Tubiana, director of the European Climate Foundation.

12.30 - Albares participates in the parallel event “Development Agencies: Translating FfD4 Ambition into Action On the Ground”.

1:30 PM - López signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the President of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Ilan Goldfajn

13:45 - Aagesen meets with the EU's Executive Vice-President for a Clean, Fair and Competitive Transition, Teresa Ribera.

2:00 PM - Aagesen holds a bilateral meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba, Inés María Chapman.

2:30 PM - López speaks on the panel "AI as a catalyst for sustainable and fair economic progress."

2:30 PM - Redondo speaks at the event "Financing Care Systems for Gender Equality and Economic Prosperity: A Multilateral Approach."

2:30 PM - Minister of Inclusion Elma Saiz speaks on the panel "Aging Societies: New Challenges and Opportunities for Employment, Finance, and Care."

3:00 PM - Sánchez makes his opening remarks at the roundtable on revitalizing international development cooperation.

4:00 PM - López holds a bilateral meeting with the Deputy Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union, Tomas Lamanauskas.
