WhatsApp global outage this Thursday, July 24: thousands of users report problems sending and receiving messages.

At noon this Thursday, a WhatsApp application failure occurred, affecting instant messaging for thousands of people who began reporting the issue on social media.
According to the Downdetector platform, which monitors online services, reports of outages began at 12:45 p.m. However, the app resumed operations a few minutes later, although reports of failures persist.
According to early user reports, the issues include slow loading of conversations, difficulties sending and receiving messages, and instability on WhatsApp Web.

X (formerly Twitter) is where the instability was most frequently discussed. Several users there reported that the messaging app wasn't loading new messages or was taking a long time to send content. "Is WhatsApp down or is it just me?" wrote one user.
Failure reported on July 24 in other Meta apps In addition to WhatsApp, several users have also reported issues on Instagram , including issues with comments displaying, difficulty posting stories, and slowness in the Explore tab.
So far, Meta , the company responsible for the applications, has not commented on the cause of the instability.
