Dordogne: two seriously injured in an accident in Chancelade

Three cars collided this Friday, June 13, in Chancelade, a few meters from the entrance to the Périgueux golf course. Two people were seriously injured and one suffered minor injuries.
A spectacular accident occurred this Friday, June 13, around 12:30 p.m., in Chancelade, on the Angoulême road, not far from the entrance to the Périgueux golf course.

According to initial reports, a Citroën Picasso, approaching from the Chancelade pharmacy roundabout, veered into the left lane for an unknown reason. One vehicle was hit but narrowly avoided a head-on collision; the second, a blue Renault Clio, was unable to avoid the impact.
The force of the impact caused the Citroën Picasso to fall on its side and the Clio to hit an electricity pole.
Emergency services quickly arrived on the scene and treated the victims. Two people were seriously injured and one suffered minor injuries. Enedis responded to the scene to cut off the power.
"I heard a huge boom behind me," said a student from Anne-Frank Middle School, who was passing by at the time of the collision. "I was working," explained a contractor carrying out maintenance work at the Renop company. "I saw the pole fall, and I quickly left! Without the pole, the car would have driven into the store!"
