Mulhouse attack: Brahim Abdessemed unleashed his anger on his victims

The file of people reported for violent radicalization includes hundreds of profiles similar to that of the Mulhouse terrorist.
After the attack in Mulhouse on Saturday , the investigation continues into this second Islamist attack since the beginning of the year, barely four weeks after the attack in Apt on January 25. In the Alsatian city, it was also time to pay tribute to Lino Sousa Loureiro, 69, who was fatally stabbed, and to the injured municipal agents and police officers.
On Monday late afternoon, the custody of terrorist Brahim Abdessemed , 37, continued. Three other people, his host and two members of his entourage, were also taken into custody. An Algerian in an irregular situation, the perpetrator of the attack lived in the Bourtzwiller district, which a few years ago was classified as both a "republican reconquest district" and a "territory for the fight against radicalization" . For the record, Emmanuel Macron went there in February 2020 before giving a speech on the fight against Islamist separatism.
