Interview on Customs Duties: "The effect on businesses will not be immediate, it will be more of a slow poison"

This path is concrete. It involves expanding the non-market sphere instead of stunting and mistreating it. Ending free trade agreements in favor of building cooperation agreements based on respect for planetary boundaries and the dignity of wealth producers. Taxing the ultra-rich and multinationals rather than cramming them with advantageous taxes and abundant public aid, without any compensation. Sharing resources and wealth by creating common goods for humanity.

If there is one thing I do not want to import from the United States, it is the Trumpist protectionist imagination. To resist "America First" with a "European First" or any other "national preference" is to take the risk of flirting with the narrative of the extreme right and of only holding out for a while against the assaults of predators. Let us be careful not to blur the reference points, the imaginations, and let us oppose the alternative coherence that has its source in the public mind , that is to say, an economy of sharing that respects the planet.
