Corsica at the top, Morbihan slowing down: the ranking of the most touristic departments in France
France attracts more tourists than any other country, but ranks only fourth in terms of revenue. While the government wants to boost tourism revenue by 2030, some departments are already doing very well, others less so.

Southern Corsica, with its gems like Ajaccio and Porto-Vecchio , dominates the 2024 tourism rankings in France, with more than 51 overnight stays per capita, according to figures collected by Correctiv. EUROPE. Haute-Corse, well-placed, is in fourth place in the rankings. The population of the Isle of Beauty doubles at the peak of summer, according to the Regional Tourism Agency.
Between the two, Savoie and Hautes-Alpes complete the podium with more than 45 nights per inhabitant.
