Greenwashing: At the Paris Air Show, the empty promises of aviation giants
Companies exhibiting at the leading aviation industry trade show are promising the world to decarbonize their operations, without questioning the increase in air traffic.
At the 2025 Paris Air Show, ecology reigns supreme. "Sustainability" and "decarbonization" are emblazoned in giant letters on most stands, hydrogen-powered and electric aircraft on display are stealing the show from fossil-fueled aircraft, and a large space, the Paris Air Lab, promises to reinvent the aviation of tomorrow.
