Citizens' Convention, Referendum: Emmanuel Macron Seeks Democratic Breath

The President of the Republic will speak on Tuesday, May 13, in a special broadcast on TF1. After launching a new citizens' convention on school schedules, Emmanuel Macron could outline plans for a referendum, one of which would concern the territorial organization of the Republic.
Eight years in office. And Emmanuel Macron still aspires to remain the master of the clocks. To mark the anniversary of his 2017 election, the President of the Republic will host a special prime-time program on TF1 on Tuesday, May 13, titled "Emmanuel Macron, the Challenges of France." For two hours, he will answer questions live from journalist Gilles Bouleau on national and international news, as well as addresses questions from "several figures from civil society" and "viewers," according to a press release from the channel.
