Laurent Wauquiez absent from the new LR management team after Bruno Retailleau's victory

Bruno Retailleau, the new president of the Republicans, named his leadership team on Wednesday, May 21, BFMTV learned, confirming the revelations of Le Parisien . According to the Interior Minister's entourage, Laurent Wauquiez has not accepted the position of vice-president, which will be filled by MEP François-Xavier Bellamy.
The entourage of the Haute-Loire MP, however, contradicted this version to BFMTV and claimed that the position was never offered to him.
Former Secretary of State Othman Nasrou has been appointed Secretary General of the party, while Minister of Agriculture Annie Genevard is in charge of the national investiture commission.
