It's an activity they share as a couple. For five years, Ghislain and Carole Simon have been maintaining beehives. It's not a job, but a passion for these harvesting beekeepers. Extracting, potting, and selling at a few markets, the family consumes their produce and astonishes honey lovers with the quality it offers.
Passing on beekeeping expertise from an uncle to his nephew. This is how Ghislain Simon became familiar with the world of bees. With his wife Carole, they maintain around ten hives located in Alsace and in Saint-Jean-Kourtzerode, the village where they have lived for twenty years.
