The trial of Sillans-la-Cascade mayor Christophe Carrière, prosecuted for moral harassment, postponed until the end of the year

At the request of the defense of Sillans-la-Cascade Mayor Christophe Carrière, the Draguignan Criminal Court has postponed his trial to a later date, although it was scheduled to take place this Wednesday, April 30. The chief magistrate is being prosecuted for moral harassment of two municipal officials.
He will therefore appear in court on December 16 for these events, which occurred two years ago.
The meeting turned into an attackIt all began in April 2023. The former director general of services, Ms. B., and the head of the municipal police filed a complaint following a meeting that turned tragic.
"Originally, Mrs. B. was hired by the mayor to restore order in the services. During this meeting – in the presence of Christophe Carrière – she denounced certain actions and privileges enjoyed by one of the mayor's close associates ," says Jean-Claude Guidicelli, the lawyer for the victims who filed a civil suit. "Things quickly escalated. The elected official assaulted Mrs. B." According to the lawyer, the police chief tried to calm the situation and reason with the chief magistrate.
The two complainants then describe a descent into hell, with "putting on the shelf" and "demotion" .
