Trump attacks host Seth Meyers: 'He has no talent or intelligence'

A month after applauding the cancellation of Stephen Colbert's Late Show , Donald Trump has found a new target: Late Night host Seth Meyers. In a post on the Truth Social platform, the president sharply criticized Meyers' contract extension at NBC.
In his message published Wednesday morning, Trump claimed that a "sick rumor" was circulating that NBC had extended the contract of one of the "least talented" late-night talk show hosts.
"He has no ratings, talent, or intelligence, and he has the personality of an insecure child," he wrote of Meyers.
Adding that he did not understand why NBC would decide to renew the host's contract, Trump said he would "look into it."
Announced in May
However, as Forbes magazine points out, one wonders what "rumor" Trump is referring to in his publication, since NBC had announced in May that Meyers' contract had been extended until 2028.
Last month, when CBS announced the cancellation of Colbert's Late Show after May 2026, Trump expressed satisfaction and implied that other hosts would suffer the same fate. "I heard Jimmy Kimmel is next," he wrote.
