It was a night of terror in Margherita di Savoia , where six cars were destroyed in two separate fires within a few hours. A wave of fires that shocked residents and tourists, transforming the summer calm into a climate of tension and alarm.

The first fire broke out in the heart of the city center, near the Palazzo di Città. Three parked cars were completely engulfed in flames, while firefighters rushed to extinguish the blaze and prevent it from spreading to other cars and nearby homes.

Second fire in Via Traiano

While rescue operations were still underway, a new alarm was raised on Via Traiano, in the Punto Pagliaio neighborhood. Here, three more vehicles caught fire, and the flames damaged a streetlight pole, which collapsed to the ground, increasing the safety risks in the area.

Carabinieri investigations

Firefighters worked for hours on both fronts, while the Carabinieri launched a thorough investigation to determine the nature of the two incidents. No possibility has been ruled out at this time, but arson appears the most likely possibility, especially given the timing and proximity of the fires.
