A man armed with an assault rifle opened fire on the street in the heart of Manhattan, at 345 Park Avenue, home to the corporate offices of the National Football League and Blackstone. According to the New York Post, six people were killed, including a police officer shot in the back, and the gunman himself, identified as 27-year-old Shane Tamura. Several others were also injured.
