Buenos Aires, hundreds of faithful in the square pray for Pope Francis
Hundreds of Argentine faithful gathered in Constitution Square in downtown Buenos Aires to pray for the health and recovery of Pope Francis . The prayers were led by Jorge Garcia Cuerva, archbishop of the Argentine capital, and many participants brought posters and photos of Pope Francis and the Lady of Lujan, of whom Bergoglio is a devotee. The event took place while the Pope, originally from Buenos Aires, has been hospitalized since February 14 at the Policlinico Gemelli in Rome for a serious lung infection.
