Carnival, Trump, Zelensky and Putin's floats also appear at the parade

The stage is set for the Rose Monday Carnival parade in Cologne, Germany, where some of the world's greats will once again be satirized. This year, the parade of floats that take a sarcastic look at current national and global political issues will take to the streets of the German city on March 3. Carnival falls just a week after national elections, and two floats are inspired by the results. Among the figures are Donald Trump, Zelensky, Putin and AfD co-leader Alice Weidel. The Mardi Gras parades are a traditional highlight of Carnival celebrations in Cologne, Duesseldorf, Mainz and other places in western Germany, and attract many onlookers, locals and tourists.
