COP16 in Rome: flashmob of environmental movements and Climate Pride
The environmental associations adhering to the Climate Pride network organized a demonstration in Rome, staging a performance in Piazzale Ugo La Malfa, near the FAO building, where the second session of COP16 is taking place. A group of activists, wearing animal masks and carrying UN flags, staged the "COP of Nature" to raise awareness of the need for concrete actions and greater public funding to achieve environmental protection objectives, also involving indigenous and local populations.
