General La Gala visits Ischia: the Carabinieri are close to the area.

Major General Canio Giuseppe La Gala, Commander of the Campania Carabinieri Legion, stopped in Ischia this morning for an official visit that touched on moments of great significance for the area.
At the Carabinieri Company on the island, coordinated by Captain Tiziano Laganà, the General met with the personnel on duty and the military personnel of the dependent Stations, expressing his appreciation for their daily commitment in the fight against illegality and in prevention activities, with particular attention to the most vulnerable sections of the population.
The Commander emphasized how the work carried out by the Carabinieri is even more important in a context like the summer, characterized by a strong tourist presence that increases the need for monitoring and security. In his analysis of the most recent institutional activities, La Gala highlighted operations to combat drug trafficking, the growing effectiveness of actions against gender-based violence, and the fight against fraud against the elderly, a particularly insidious phenomenon that the Carabinieri have intensified their efforts in recent weeks, with tangible results.

Subsequently, the General took part in a moment of strong symbolic significance: a visit to the new headquarters of the Carabinieri Station in Forio, led by Lieutenant Luigi Di Nola. Here, he met with Mayor Stani Verde, with whom he toured the newly renovated premises, reiterating the importance of restoring a bastion of legality to the community after an eleven-year absence. The Station's operational return to the heart of its jurisdiction represents a concrete sign of support for the needs of citizens and a strengthening of the sense of security for both residents and the many tourists who choose the island at this time of year.
The day thus ended with a clear message: the commitment of the Carabinieri remains constant and widespread, aimed at guaranteeing a solid presence on the territory and firmly protecting those most exposed to the risks of crime.
