Palermo Calcio, here's Veroli: "I'm more of a winger than a winger, the fans are warm."

Determination and a desire to climb the ranks: Davide Veroli is ready to take over Palermo and contribute to their promotion bid. The former Cagliari player was presented at the Torretta training center: "Palermo is a place that speaks for itself, there was no need to ask too many questions to come here," he stated. "It's true that other teams were interested, but I chose Palermo anyway: the atmosphere before the match against Reggiana was sensational, the fans are truly passionate and can help us do well."
One of the issues to be resolved concerns my role in the Rosanero starting eleven: "I'll have a chance to discuss tactical aspects with Inzaghi," Veroli emphasizes. "Up until now, I've been a left-back, and even though I've had the opportunity to play as a full-back, I feel more comfortable in a defensive trio. When I was younger, I was a winger, but then I also played as an attacking midfielder and a playmaker. It was Legrottaglie who 'invented' me as a central defender at Pescara. I started out as a back-four and have since always played as a left-back."
Regarding his first encounter with the Rosanero environment, he explains, "I've only recently arrived, but I've already gotten along well with my teammates. I'll try to make myself available right away, continually improving, and taking inspiration from more established players. Playing in big clubs has its pros and cons, but the fans always manage to give something extra on the pitch. Brunori and Pohjanpalo are top-tier players, a luxury for Serie B. Last year it was difficult to play against them, but this year I feel lucky to play alongside them."
