RAI suffered a sudden loss: meteorologist Claudia Adamo died at 51: "You fought like a tiger."

Farewell to the manager
Daughter of Air Force officer Luciano, she often appeared on television as an expert. Alberto Matano remembers her: "With your smile and your bright eyes, you brightened the weather even when the sky was full of clouds."

A sudden loss has struck at RAI , where Claudia Adamo , head of Rai Meteo within the Rai Pubblica Utilità division and a frequent guest as an expert on broadcasts and news programs, has died at the age of 51. The details of the tragedy, which broke so suddenly, are unknown, but some recollections evoke an illness she faced with great character, "head held high," and great dignity.
Adamo was 51 years old and originally from Rome. Her father, Luciano, had been an Air Force officer, also a meteorologist, and also worked for RAI in the 1990s. She was a true daughter of art. She graduated in Atmospheric Physics from the University of Tor Vergata and earned her PhD from the University of Ferrara. Adamo had collaborated with various research institutions, including the Institute of Atmospheric Science and Climate of the National Research Council (CNR), NASA, and Legambiente, studying the impact of climate change on our country. She had created Green Meteo for the Rai Gulp channel. She had also worked for Sky and Sky Meteo 24.
Journalist and host Alberto Matano , a longtime RAI personality who often hosted the meteorologist for his opinions, expressed his condolences on social media. "Goodbye Claudia, special girl, companion on so many live broadcasts and so many laughs. With your smile and your eyes full of light, you lit up the weather even when the sky was full of clouds. A big hug to her loved ones. It's a very sad day for the La Vita in Diretta family."
RAI meteorologist Matteo Tidili also shared his memory on social media: "A woman full of strength, passion, enthusiasm, and love for life. Last summer, when despite your illness , with extraordinary mental and physical strength, you came to Sardinia to visit us, will remain indelible. It was the last time we saw each other. I truly hoped we could do it again this summer, as we had planned, and that Katia could finally get a tattoo of the tiger you so desired, the perfect symbol of your strength and courage."
Another memory that appeared on social media was that of RAI meteorologist Fabio Zimbo: "I want to remember you like this, always smiling, positive, vibrant, with a thousand ideas and a thousand projects ready to be launched. Always smiling and positive, a ' tiger ,' as you loved to call yourself, even during the long, terrible journey of illness."
