Smoke fills the roadway, causing a pileup in the Foggia area. One person is hospitalized.

A five-car pileup occurred this afternoon along state highway 655, on the stretch from Foggia to Candela. The accident was most likely caused by poor visibility due to smoke billowing across the road from a brush fire at the side of the road. One of the people in the cars involved was taken to the hospital. Law enforcement and firefighters responded to the scene. ( Ansa )
